Licence Granted For New 70 Million Euro San Fernando Shopping Centre

Published in News

The San Bartolomé Town Hall has approved the licence for a new shopping centre in San Fernando close to Playa del Inglés. The site of the new centre is the empty plot once occupied by the old Viajes Insular building close to the Mercadona and next to the Nilo Shopping Centre. It has access to the GC500, Avenida de Galdar and Calle Alcalde Enrique Jorge. The shopping centre will be a 14.442 square metre building with 862 parking places; a feature that should alleviate the lack of public parking in the San Fernando and Bellavista zones. The budget for the new centre is said to be 70 million euros and it will be developed by a consortium that includes Supermercados Marcial, S.L (which operates Spar supermarkets in Lanzarote),  and Trutena (Hoteles Lopez).
