Fiestas del Carmen, Puerto de Mogán, Gran Canaria, 2009

Once again this hot summer afternoon our group of friends met together to celebrate the annual arrival of the Virgin of Puerto Mogan. This colourful event marks the beginning of the local fiestas which this year run from 24th July to 2nd August. The Virgin is brought with huge excitement over the water from Arguineguin accompanied by fireworks and a flotilla of gaily-bedecked boats of all sizes, whose owners enjoy themselves thoroughly with on-board barbecues, music, dancing and a lot of laughter. y "Viva la Virgen de Puerto Mogan!!"
