Flights stacking high for Gran Canaria

Competition among the low cost airlines is set to give a huge boost to Gran Canaria tourism and also to regular travelers that want to invest in an island property. Jet2.com and Ryanair have both announced increased flights to Gran Canaria over the next year. Jet 2.com are adding Newcastle airport as a new route from May 1st 2010 to October 30, opening up an even greater choice for the north east of England. But travellers don't have to wait until then to enjoy the fruits of Ryanair's decision to move flights to more regional airports, as from October 30th 2009 they can chose from 10 British routes. Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Dublin, East Midlands, Glasgow,  Liverpool, London Luton, London Stanstead and Shannon will now link Britain to Gran Canaria, there are also new routes from Girona, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Madrid and Oporto.
