Gran Canaria golf makes Rafael a winner

Published in Living in Gran Canaria, News

Las Palmas born Rafael Cabrera Bello proudly ognoted his winter season by lifting the Austrian Open golf title in Vienna to cement his place on the PGA European Tour. A great achievement for the 25 year old, but little wonder when Gran Canaria has such a wealth of golf courses for professionals and fun players to learn on. Rafael would have been able to play close to home at the modern Las Palmeras resort or take in some history at the real Club de Golf de las Palmas, the oldest golf club in Spain, dating back to 1891. Most holiday makers and those who have invested in property in Gran Canaria will favour the courses of the south, they have a good selection. Mogan has the bright modern Anfi Tauro course and San Bartolome de Tirajana has the 27 hole delight, Salobre Golf and Resort. Maspalomas is a real hot bed of golf, as well as being one of the most popular places to live and visit. Meloneras Golf in the newly developed bay area is just a short chip away from Maspalomas Golf with its 2 storey driving range, both close to the majestic rolling sand dunes and national park. The year round climate makes Gran Canaria a great place to relax and play a few rounds of golf, just another reason why so many people are investing in this sun blessed island. Cardenas Real Estate are experts in property particularly in the south and can make sure you have that peace of mind so you can concentrate on improving your golf game. By Cardenas News
