Richard Branson Considers Gran Canaria Investment

Entrepreneur and founder of the Virgin business group Richard Branson is considering a large investment in Gran Canaria, according to local news reports.

Branson is interested locating a Branson Centres of Entrepreneurship in Gran Canaria.  It would focus on a wide range of activities including renewable energy, marine investigation, space tourism, fostering young entrepreneurs and international cooperation.

Gran Canaria is an attractive location due top its excellent transport links, lifestyle and climate and its wide range of tax incentives and rebates aimed at business investors and entrepreneurs.

A Gran Canaria Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship would be the third of its kind as there are already centres in South Africa and Jamaica.

Branson visits Gran Canaria in October 2015 to meet local business people and politicians.
