Tourist figures for the Canary Islands in June

Published in News
I just read with great joy an article publishing the tourist figures for the Canary Islands in June, stating that the Canaries have 16,08% more foreign tourists in June compared to 2009, i.e. some 80.000 more passengers. Gran Canaria has an increase of 17,18%. Also last May registered an increase of 11% compared to last year. But moreover the figure of Norwegian visitors, which concerns our Southwest area especially, have registered an amazing boost of 58,39% in June (highly welcome!). Several times I've heard, from Senior business people having experienced other crisis episodes, that the Canary Islands are historically one of the first regions to take off after a recession time, so I trust this is a good omen also for the total Spanish economy (after the most important one that was winning the World Cup!). In any case, at least regionally this is real growth figures so this may be THE right moment to buy a property in Gran Canaria. Here is the full article at maspalomasahora
