Windsurf champs head for Pozo, Gran Canaria - PWA

From July 10 to 17 the Gran Canaria Windsurf Grand Slam takes place on Playa de Pozo Izquierdo beach between Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles. The beach is a meca for international windsurf stars, and this is the 10th year the event, backed by the Professional Windsurf Association, has been held there. This years entrants include the local glamorous Las Palmas twins, Iballa and Daida Ruano. Men and women will compete in wave and slalom categories, and as the action takes place fairly close to the shoreline, it's a great spectacle to watch.
